Weekly Short Writing Assignments (SWAs) Guide

You are expected to submit ten Short Writing Assignments (SWAs) from week #5 to week #14 to have a deeper understanding of some key concepts. You will select one of the assigned SWA papers and write about the following points: 

• What is the research question or research gap addressed by the author(s)?
• How effective is the approach followed by the author(s) in addressing the research question or research gap posed by the author(s)?
• If you were given the same research problem, what else would you try to make the research stronger?

There will be at least two assigned papers to choose from every week. If you miss some SWAs, you can make up not more than two assignments by submitting two papers in the following weeks.

Your write-up should be approximately (but not much more than) 500 words. SWAs make up 20% of your grade. You can write up the same paper you are presenting, but please hand in a write-up that is separate from your electronic presentation. SWAs are due on Blackboard by noon (12 pm) on the day of the class.
